17-year-old Sofia, a Brazilian star volleyball player on a queer diverse women's team, is about to play in the game that means promotion to the top league and for which she has trained tirelessly. On the way to her lifelong dream, she finds out about her unwanted pregnancy and has to seek help in a country where abortion is forbidden and criminalized. Desperate, she is targeted by a strict religious group that threatens her with the law and prison if she does not bow to their ideas of motherhood. It is only when Sofia confides in her single father and her team that things take an unexpected turn.
